The native of Beaufort County was educated in local public schools. She later lived in New York City, worked as a secretary for Met Life and was a member of Springfield Baptist Church. Retiring to South Carolina, she reunited with Third Macedonia Baptist Church and served as Sunday school superintendent and in other capacities. SURVIVORS: a son, Isaac Riley of Burton; four sisters, Frances Higgins of Manhattan, N.Y., Marie Lightley and Millie Bell Petrie, both of Bronx, N.Y., and Tiny Scott of Savannah; three brothers, Isaac Moultrie of Jersey City, N.J., James White of Manhattan and Pastor Clifford White of Bronx; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. VISITATION: will begin at 7 p.m. today at Third Macedonia Baptist Church in Burton. FUNERAL: noon Thursday at Third Macedonia Baptist Church, burial in Rhett Cemetery in Burton.
