ALEXANDER DIES: Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Alexander, who died at 2 o'clock Sunday morning at the home of her niece, Mrs. Henry H. Reed, three miles northwest of Gridley, were held from the Reed home at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning. Burial was in the Williamsburg cemetery. Mrs. Alexander would have celebrated her 83rd birthday on February 11, 1929. She lived in Williamsburg until about 15 years ago when her husband died and since then she has been making her home with relatives. For the past four years she spent most of the time at the Reed home. Death resulted from general breakdown and the flu. She leaves one son, Joe Alexander of Hall Summit, and one daughter Mrs. Robert Ewings of Maize. (Amanda Laws was the oldest child of James Laws and Mary Ann Lowe Laws.)
