She was 87. Ms. Laws was born May 13, 1913, in Bethel, the daughter of the late Harry and Corrinne Evans Doreman. She attended Greenwood Elementary School. Ms. Laws worked for 25 years for the Jennings Moore family in Blades. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Cannon Henry Matthews; and her second husband, Emory Laws. She is survived by two daughters, Dorareno Savage, of Bridgeville, and Lisa Laws, of Wilmington; a sister, Gladys Lebron, of Seaford; five granddaughters, Clifonette Ricketts, of Seaford, Beverly Ogundare, of Laurel, Sherith Brown, of Fort Pierce, Fla., Katrina Brown, of Bridgeville, and Calorls Kimberly Rogers, of Salisbury, Md.; two grandsons, Marvin Matthews, of Seaford, Daymion Laws, of Seaford; 23 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters--in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call from 7-9 tonight at Bennie Smith Funeral Home in Seaford. Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Seaford. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Concord.
