Born Aug. 25, 1916 in Beverly, Mass., she was the daughter of the late William W. and Margaret Gallagher Laws. She was the wife of the late Gaylord Perry "Tex" Aschenbeck, whom she married Sept. 20, 1946 in Brownfield, Texas. He preceded her in death March 24, 1997. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, William and John Laws. She is survived by one nephew, Robert Laws of Wenham, Mass. Mrs. Aschenbeck moved to St. Mary's County in 1946. She was an assistant postmaster at the Park Hall Post Office along with Mr. Aschenbeck. Mr. and Mrs. Aschenbeck bred and raised Schnauzers; they were considered experts of that particular type of dog and participated in many dog shows. Family and friends will be received today, Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 10 to 11 A.M. at the Brinsfield Funeral Home in Leonardtown, where services will be held at 11 A.M. Chaplain Joseph Dobson will officiate. Interment will follow in Trinity Episcopal Church Cemetery in St. Mary's City.
