    2. Nancy Clayton
    3. To: Cindy Owens & other LAWS researchers: Cindy, I read your list of LAWS members from Tennessee and wonder if you have run across any of my Tennessee folks?? My Grt,Grt Grandmother - Martha Elizabeth Laws was born in Claiborne County, Tennessee on May 11, 1868. I have one report saying her parents were Salem C. Laws and Mary Eubanks. Salem was from Virginia or North Carolina. I have nothing on them...or anything more about my Martha Elizabeth!! I do know she was left on the doorstep of two "old maid" sisters, but don't know who they were. Do you have my Martha Elizabeth or her parents in your info? Martha married William Fletcher King, and they later moved to Ryan, Oklahoma. Would appreciate any help! Thank you!! Nancy Clayton P.O. Box 153 Utopia, TX 78884 email [email protected]

    2. The Hendricks
    3. Hello, Well, I have little information but found from my ggrandfather's (Seth Hendricks) death certificate that his father was James Hendricks and mother was Sarah Law. Seth, according to the certificate, was born in Sharon, Mercer Co., PA. in 1847. I have been unable to find any record of them in the Census of Mercer for 1850 or 1860. In 1870 Seth was living with his wife in Allegheny Co., PA and lived there until his death in 1927. It is possible that Sarah Law lived in OH before her marriage. Any help will be greatly appreciated. If you have an unidentified Sarah Law in PA., maybe this is mine. Jim Hendricks email: [email protected] >

    1. [LAWS-L] Laws TN to MS??
    2. Cindy Owens
    3. Hi to All! Since I see so many newcomers I'd like to repost my info. This will be long so delete now if you don't have southern Laws. Below is what I know for sure on the first 2 generations of my line in MS. My direct line is through Ida & George DeLapp, on the latter census records Ida gives MS as her parents birthplace, however on the 1860/70 census she & her siblings were not living w/ their parents. I might also add it's not written in stone that Anna's surname was indeed Taylor. There were 2 other Laws families in the county in the 1870 census, can't connect them. That info is also below . It seems that there were a ton of Laws in TN, does anyone know of anyone leaving c1830-1840 & losing track of them? I'm esp. interested in Benjamin & Elbert LAWS found in the Carter Co., TN census index. Ida Laws had a grandson by the name Elbert , he's my grandfather. Elbert was an uncommon name in MS so am curious. Thanks for reading all this!!! Descendants of Unknown Laws 1 Unknown Laws b: MS .. +Anna Taylor b: MS Father: Mother: . 2 Ida B.
