Hi, We are looking for the parents of either Caroline Law or Sarah Law, b. abt 1825 in PA. Her name appears as Sarah Law on her son's death certificate issued in 1927 in Allegheny Co. PA. In the 1850 Lawrence Co., PA census, the name is shown as Caroline. Caroline/Sarah married James Hendri(x)cks about 1846, probably in Mercer Co., PA. Their first child, Seth Hendricks was b.Sharon, Mercer Co. PA in 1847. They lived in Mahoning Twp and Mahoning became a part of Lawrence Co., in 1849. Another child, Isabell was born in Sep. 1850 in Lawrence Co., PA. Who were the Law parents? Will gladly share information on descendants of Caroline/Sarah from the Seth Hendricks line. Thanks. Found behind door #1: Joseph William Law, born England Jan. 1, 1699 married Peggie Angeline Crabtree, born Scotland June 26, 1701 (daughter pf Preston and Rachel), March 19, 1699. Poor ole Peggie got the big one, yellow fever, and died at Little Horn Church, North Carolina. Three weeks after her death, Joseph William married Sara Elizabeth. My grandfather, William Allan Law was born in Milngauie, about 8 miles from Glascow, on April 18, 1885. His parents were Peter Law (1839-1912) and Mary Bain Law (died about 1888). William Allan Law lived in Scotstown (4 miles from Glascow) from 1897-1913 when he came to the USA. He was trained as a carpenter in Scotland and continued that trade throughout his life. He died in 1972. His siblings were 1. Maggie (died about 1910). She was married to a Dan McLaren. She stayed in Scotland. 2. Mary Brin Law (1865-1933). She came to the USA, married Mr. Koenig and lived in Jeffersonville, NY. 3. Jessie (died about 1896). She married Mr. Wilson. She stayed in Scotland. 4. Nellie Brisbane Law (1968-1947). She came to the USA and lived with my grandfather in Binghamton, NY. 5. Peter Law - died at 17 years of age due to an accident in Scotland. 6. Agnes Mina Ross Law (1883-1972). She also lived with my grandfather in Binghamton, NY.
