Reg, The 'OE' you speak of here...is your Out Look Express Mail Box in your computer. I do not think you can disable that part of it so you can open an attachment. The only reason 'OE' is not letting you open them is, they are not save to open...meaning...there is a virus there for the most part. Good luck, Marcie in IN.. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Reg Paine" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, November 14, 2002 5:40 PM Subject: [LAWRENCE-L] Attachments > I must apologise to anyone who may have answered my request for information in the last day or so .... I downloaded a Microsoft Update, and now get the message 'OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail ...' > I cannot now open any rootsweb attachments, even those I had opened previously! > > If any responses are needed I will reply as soon as I can disable 'OE', whatever that is! > > Reg Paine
Go to your Out look express inbox and click on options then security, then uncheck the box that says, do not allow attachments to be saved or opened. ----- Original Message ----- From: "spacedup" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, November 18, 2002 1:12 PM Subject: Re: [LAWRENCE-L] Attachments > Reg, > > The 'OE' you speak of here...is your Out Look Express Mail Box in your > computer.
