He was probably born in Vermont and is buried in Magnolia, IA. On 15 Jan 1843 he married Mary RICE, daughter of Benjamin RICE and Matilda GABY. Their children: Harriet (1836-1908), Eveline (1837-1904), Helen Maria (1840-1865), Henry Munroe (1842-1924), Ñewton Scott (1844-1926), and Silas Rice (1849-1905). Elias LAWRENCE was my husband's great grandfather.

Do you by chance have any info on the Newton Scott Lawrence in your line? I'm looking for my ggrandfather Newton Lawrence and I've hit a brick wall. Thanks for any info. Linda
