Beverly, For years I have been trying to find MY William Lawrence and I usually end up with another William (it's probably been your William)! My William was born December 8, 1789 and married Sela Thompson in 1808. The family seemed to move around alot as I have found them near Auburn, Cayuga County in 1813 (the birthplace of my third great-grandmother, Julia Lawrence), then later in Genesee, Ontario, and Monroe Counties! I just have never been able to identify his parents or document all six of his children. Have you checked out the Ontario County RAIMS website? It's one of the best I've ever used. There are William Lawrences listed there. If you ever find my Lawrence, please let me know. Thanks.
