He may have even fought in the Revolutionary War. His daughter, Clarissa Lawrence, was my 3rd great-grandmother. She may have been born in the 1790s. Probably in Connecticut or Massachusetts or possibly Vermont. Clarissa married Robinson Winchester @ 1815 in Brattleboro VT. Barbara White, Seattle

Joseph Lawrence, (4) Ebenezer (3) Joshua (2) Robert (1) married by 1766 Susannah _____ and were living in Athol, Mass, where 4 children were registered. 1. Levi born ca 1766-eventually came to Canada 2. Sarah born 1768 - my ancestor 3. John born 1770 - lived for awhile in South Hero Vt later it was said of "Pawlet, Vt" no further info 4. Nathan born Athol, 1772, - no further information. There may have been other children born but this is all that I have. Joseph was in the Rev War........I have tried for years to find the surname of Susannah so that I might trace her ancestors, but with no results. Please let me know if the above is of help to you.
