Sorry Allen, My grandfather is Charles Joseph Lawrence born 1879 in Baltimore, Md. I have nothing behind him except family tradition which says his father was English. I just know one almost goes blind reading census page after page so when I run across a Lawrence, I am putting it down. It is not mine but may help someone else. Jane Carver Oklahoma

Thanks Jane, We are trying to find our Charles and Walter's father Sam Patton Lawrence, he died around 1900 in East Texas and we don't know where. He was married to Mary Idella Campbell, we have her line back several generations but we have no idea where his might have been. He was born in Georgia. Good luck in your hunt.
