Hi Folks, Greetings from Toronto, Canada. Richard LAWRENCE (1839 - 1922) was born in Idstone, Berks, in the parish of Ashbury, a son of James LAWRENCE and Sarah Jane HULL, his wife. Richard married Sarah Ann GODWIN and they lived and farmed in Manor Farm, Inkpen, Berks, where they had issue, all born in Inkpen: 1. Arthur William LAWRENCE, b c 1865; he married Rachel BUTLER in Chippenham district in 1893 and they had issue; 2. Mary LAWRENCE, b c 1866; she married her cousin Henry James HULL; they lived in East Woodhay, Hants, and they had issue; 3. Sarah Ann LAWRENCE, b c 1867; probably no issue; 4. Richard LAWRENCE, b c 1869; 5. Ada Godwin LAWRENCE, b c 1871; she married her cousin James William LAWRENCE in 1904 and they had issue; 6. Emily LAWRENCE, b c 1874; living at the 1901 census; 7. Lilian LAWRENCE, b c 1875; living with her parents at the 1901 census; 8. Albert Arnold LAWRENCE, b c 1877; 9. Annie Edith LAWRENCE, b c 1879; she was single and a governess in Norwich, Norfolk at the time of the 1901 census; she was buried in Inkpen in f1953; probably no issue; 10. Alice Louisa LAWRENCE, b c 1881; she was buried in Inkpen in 1961; probably no issue; 11. George LAWRENCE, b c 1886.
