Information I have been able to find to date as follows: Anthony Hampton Lawrence b. 4/25/1819 in Jockey Hollow, NY, d. 3/9/1888 in Oxford Depot, NY, married Elizabeth (Eliza) Colfax daughter of William R. Colfax and Elizabeth Hogan. Children were: Sarah L. b. 1845 Anna Catherine, b. 1846, m. John Milton Durland Julia b. 1851 William b. 1855 Henrietta b. 1857 John b. 1859 Mary Emma b. 7/2/1861, m. John Post Roome James H. b. 1862 Carrie Adele b. 1865 Anthony, Elizabeth and Carrie are buried in the Chester Cemetery. He went by the name A.H. Lawrence. Census information as follows: 1850 Clarkstown, Rockford County, NY 1860 Chester, Orange County, NY 1870 & 1880 Blooming Grove, Orange County, NY I believe the parents of Anthony were Richard Lawrence and Hanna Finn. Also believe his brother was Harrison H. Lawrence who married Elizabeth Bull. I have not been able to verify these assumptions.
