    3. If you cannot find a descendant, I would be glad to get the bible on behalf of the National Genealogical Society (NGS). We have a Family Bible project going where the pages with the information (and the title/copyright page) are scanned and the contents indexed. This goes into a database at NGS and is available to members. After this, NGS tries to find a descendant or a historical/genealogical society that would take the bible. And, if you do find a descendant, could you email me images of the pages plus the title/copyright page? I will forward this to NGS for entry.
