I am seeking to make contact with any relation or researcher of my ancestor, James LAWRENCE (1812 - 1892) yeoman farmer of Idstone Farm in the parish of Ashbury, Berks, as it was then. I would be delighted to correspond and share research information with any relation or researcher of this family. James LAWRENCE married, in Sutton Benger, Wilts, Sarah Jane HULL (1817 - 1906) of that village. James and Sarah had a large farming family, five of whom proved to be quite prolific: 1. Richard LAWRENCE (1839 - 1922) married Sarah Ann GODWIN and farmed in Manor Farm, Inkpen, Berks. 2. William LAWRENCE (1841 - 1912) married Elizabeth CHISMAN and farmed in Pewsey and in Normanton, Wilsford, both in Wilts. 3. James LAWRENCE junior (1842 - 1933) married Martha G. FROGLEY and farmed in Uffington, Berks; in Wanborough, Wilts; at Hill Farm in Hinton Parva, Wilts; and in Stall Pitts Farm in Shrivenham, Berks. 4. Mary Ann LAWRENCE (1849 - 1942) married William R. CHISMAN; they farmed in Chaddleworth, Berks. 5. Thomas Herbert LAWRENCE (1857 - 1948) married Susan Mary HEDGES and they farmed in Ashbury. I have a lot of ancestral detail on the lines of both James and Sarah. At this stage, I am seeking to connect with their descendants or researchers.
