Hi Folks, Greetings from Toronto, Canada. Thomas Herbert LAWRENCE (1857 - 1948) was born in Idstone in the parish of Ashbury, Berks, as it was then. Generally known as Herbert, he was the youngest son of James LAWRENCE, farmer, of Idstone, and Sarah Jane HULL, his wife. In 1884, Herbert married Susan Mary HEDGES, who had been born in East Challow, Berks. Thomas and Susan farmed in Idstone, where they had issue: 1. Raymond LAWRENCE, born in Idstone in 1886; 2. Maud LAWRENCE, born in Idstone in 1888; 3. Herbert Bruce LAWRENCE, born in Idstone in 1893; 4. Charles Hedges LAWRENCE, born in Idstone in 1896; and 5. Edith Mary LAWRENCE, born in Idstone in 1900.
