    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Stewart---Crabtree---Wilkinson---Carter Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/DAw.2ACIB/385.409.437.440.443.448.450.454.560.567.571 Message Board Post: Hi! My name is Marian Warren, and my E-mail address is: Mjswspokane@comcast.net I have been wading through messages posted on the message boards at Ancestry.com and related links. Most of the ones I am into now are pretty old, like 2000. But, we have only had Ancestry.com since about August, so I am wading through a lot of old stuff. I saw the message you posted in 2000,apparently in answer to someone else's message or query, etc. You mentioned that a Claire (last name?) married an Albert Stewart in 1915 and moved to Chandler, Arizona. This Albert is a twin to Alfred Stewart and are brothers to my grandfather James Christopher Stewart. They are sons of Francis Marion Stewart and Martha Elizabeth Carter Stewart, my gr-grandparents. Martha E. was the daughter of Meredith and Nancy Ann (no maiden name yet) Carter. Meredith, Nancy, and Martha E. were all supposed to have been born in Alabama, but ended up in Franklin Co., Tennessee. Albert and Alfred Stewart were born January 9, 1893, in Stone County, Arkansas. Albert died August 13, 1969, in Chandler, Arizona. Both of the twins ended up in Arizona. I don't have death date or place for Alfred. I remember my father, Carl Marion Stewart, going to Arizona to visit one of the twins, or maybe both. My Mom has/orhad a few pictures from this visit. And, one of the twins had a portrait of him and his brother, I guess when they were younger; I don't know which one though. I think one, or both, of them had red hair. It runs in the Stewart family, as does twins. However, I think both of these qualities may come down from the Crabtree side of the family. Both the twins are gone now, and I'm sure their wives too. I have tried to contact the few remaining Stewarts in that area (that my Uncle Tommy gave me addresses for,) but have had little success. Billy Stewart was a policeman in Wickenburg, Arizona. I wrote him, and others, and he called me once. I got ahold of him through the police dept., but the last time I wrote it came back. There was rumor that he had maybe moved to Oregon. None of the others I wrote ever responded to me. It would be great if you could write me and fill me in on a little more info that you have. Please send me your E-mail address so we can correspond directly. I have the names of Francis Marion and Martha E.'s children. The moved from Franklin Co., Tenn. and ended up in Arkansas. They had 14 children. Francis Marion's parent were William S. Stewart and Zilliah Ann Crabtree Stewart. They had a total of 12 children; I have the names of 11 of them. William S. Stewart was also born in Alabama on Oct. 19, 1825(23?). I think 25. I have not gotten back past William yet. However, Zilliah Ann Crabtree Stewart's parents were Mack Harrison Crabtree and Lucy Jane Wilkinson. Mack's father was William Crabtree of Crow Creek, Tenn. (near Alabama border.) And on message board, I've just heard that William Crabtree's father was Isaac who lived in Barren and/or Wayne Co. Kentucky. Just found out that Lucy Jane's father was John Batley Wilkinson, and his father was William Wilkinson who died in Barren Co., Kentucky. This is new info, so I can't swear to it. Write me as soon as you can, and we can touch bases. Please send my your E-mail address so we can contact each other directly. I don't know how much, in any, of this info you want to know, but I do have names of children of some of these people I mentioned. Hope to hear from you soon!! Bye for now. Marian Warren
