Richard Sorry, but Colonel Richard Lawrence of Staten Island didn't marry an Earle daughter. He married first, Mary Leggett then second, Elizabeth Oakley (Mudge). Justus earle married Richard Lawrence's daughter Anna and they moved to New Brunswick, Canada. I have been unable to place Thomas Lawrence/Laurence in this family yet. Yes there are several and a couple of them apparently married Leggett's. I believe the original Trinity Church burned down and I have details in my files somewhere, there are also records missing from the Revolutionary period and I have an article that states that the Minister of the Church and it's Loyalist congregation all left New York and he took the records with him!. He ended up in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I will dig this info up and let you know. I gleaned the articles from books when I visited the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. THe New York, Long Island and Staten Island Lawrences are difiicult to research. Colonel Richard Lawrence was born in Hackensack, New Jersey. His father was John Lawrence from Long Island and his mother was Anna Edsall from Hackensack, New Jersey. THis family disappears after a daughter was born in New Jersey and I believe they lived in New York somewhere but they are hard to find.
