    3. James LAWRENCE was born in 1812 in Hilmarton, Wilts, England. In 1838, he married Sarah Jane HULL. James was a farmer in Idstone, in the parish of Ashbury, Berks. James and Sarah had issue: 1. Richard LAWRENCE, 1839, who married Sarah Ann GODWIN. They farmed at Manor Farm, Inkpen, Berks, where they had issue. 2. William LAWRENCE, 1841, who married Elizabeth CHISMAN. They farmed in Pewsey, Wilts, and in Normanton in the parish of Wilsford, Wilts, where they had issue. 3. James LAWRENCE junior, 1842, who married Martha Godfrey FROGLEY. They farmed in Uffington, Wanborough, Hinton Parva and, finally in Shrivenham. They had issue. 4. Mary Ann LAWRENCE, 1849, who married William Rumsey CHISMAN. They farmed in Chaddleworth, Berks, where they had issue. 5. Thomas Herbert LAWRENCE, 1857, who married Susan Mary HEDGES. They farmed in Idstone, Berks, where they had issue. They farmed in Pewsey, Wilts, and in Normanton in the parish of Wilsford, Wilts. William and Elizabeth had issue: 1. Amy Chisman LAWRENCE, 1870, who married John Turner HUXHAM. They lived in Amesbury, Wilts, and then in Romford, Essex. 2. Ada Bessie Chisman LAWRENCE, 1872, who married George SIDFORD. They lived in Damerham and Salisbury; they farmed in Broadchalke, Wilts. 3. Mabel Dorothy LAWRENCE, 1876, who married John ROPER. They farmed in Middle Chase Farm, Bowerchalke, Wilts. I'm looking for any information on Michael Lawrence, b. abt 1730/1740, living in Winchester, Hampshire County, Virginia during the Revolution and listed in the DAR Patriot Index. We know of daughters Sarah (m Stacy Reeves), Margaret (m. Joseph Trickett), (Rebecca) Ann, (m William Adams), and Elizabeth (m. John Herbert). He was in Monongalia Co, now WV, in the 1780's, and eventually relocated to Campbell County, KY. There may have been another daughter named Polly. Carolyn Carson

On December 2, 1858 she gave birth to John D. at the same place. On March 9, 1860 she gave birth to Eva M. in Summit, Juneau Co., Wisc. In the 1860 Wisconsin census, the Morse family was living with Wesley (her brother), Abigail (her sister-in-law) and Wesleys son, Adelbert. After Nehemiah died in the war Mary married Levi Lawrence on Oct. 14, 1868 in Mauston, Juneau, Wisconsin. They were next seen in Germantown, Juneau, Wisconsin. Mary had two daughters with Levi. Inez Augusta and Alma Grace. They moved to Colorado and were in the 1885 Colorado census. Mary Sophia was buried in the Red Butte Cemetery, Aspen, Pitkin County, Colorado.
