The 1900 census for Robertson Co. TX the family is listed. It shows the following children: Herman b. 1883, Marvin J. b. 1886, Lena b. 1889 and Lela Lee b. 1891, and Ann E. b.1835 S.C. listed as mother. The next entry is for a Lee Lawrence b. 1881, wife Frances E. b. 1882 and a son Willie L. b. 1900. I truly believe that Lee Lawrence is a son of Will and Alice. . Lela Lee Octavia married a John George Meeks in Lampasas, Tx in 1906. John Meeks died in 1919 of Typhoid. Lela remarried two more times, one to a Otto Guenther and the other was Steve Cavins. She died in 1929 in Pampa, Gray Co. TX. and is buried in the Fairview Cemetery under the name of Lela O. Cavins. She had three young children that were put in an orphanage in Tipton, OK. I was able to get copies of the orphanage home records on the kids. A J. M. Lawrence is listed as an Uncle to the children. Also listed is Timmie Bowlan/Bowlin and Pearl Wharton as Aunts. I do not know if these two women were part of the Meeks or Lawrence families. Also according to the papers Mary "Alice" Lawrence died Oct. 27,1920 in Eastland, Tx. If anyone has information on any of the above people please let me hear from you. Tassy

Edward is a descendant of John Lawrence of Wisset. Edward was born Nov 1803 in Gardiner, Kennebec Co., Maine and his first 2 of 11 children were born in Pittston, Kennebec, Maine. In 1840 he removed to Dresden where he is shown as a mariner and where the rest of his children were born (including a Margaret and Frederick, but no twin Amy). I am sending you separately a FGS on this family. The only thing I know of his childhood was that he remembered a brother Fred and twin sisters - Margaret and Amy. He thought there were eight or nine children in the family. He was hired as a cabin boy when he was young and remained with the same Captain until he docked in San Francisco in 1865. Does anyone have any clues as to this family?

I would be interested in what you have. Thanks. Roberta Kent
A lot of the surnames that you have are quite the same as some of the ones that I have. It will take me some time to find the papers I have as I have so many, and I work just about 7 days a week. Please be patient with me. Wm. and Mary Jane Graham were married, at least the ones I am looking for. They were found in Phila.,Pa. census of 1870. Roberta Kent
