    1. [LAWRENCE-L] Irish & Birmingham Lawrencess
    2. Margot Duley
    3. Any leads to Irish Lawrences including immigrants to Birmingham, England in the mid 19th century would be welcomed. My specific line of Lawrences starts (so far!) with William Lawrence, a soldier who enlisted in Dublin in 1852. He married Harriet (Russell?) who died in 1889 and who was from Kilkenny. They had at least three children (Hannah, Mary and Willam). At some poiint the family relocated to Birmingham, England. A cousin who remained in Ireland was named Kitty Lawrence Molloy. Hannah Lawrence (married Charles Duley) in Birmingham in 1859. She is my great grandmother. Thanks for any assistance. Margot Duley

    3. List Members, I'm not sure if I missed the info on a roll call. I am Gerard "Gardy" Lawrence, descended from Moritz Lorentz who arrived in Philadelphia in 1732. The family is from Alsace and much research has been published in the Lawrence Legacy by Marion Bale and Diane Lawrence Krumrine. 3. RE Lawrence list roll call: JOHN / RICHARD Lawrence My Lawrences come from John Lawrence, born around 1700, parents unknown, married to Anna Edsall (daughter of John Edsall [ 1660 - 1714 - son of Samuel Edsall and Janette Wessels] and Charity Smith, daughter of Michael Smith and Francina Berry), Of their five children, my fifth great grandfather was their son, Richard baptized 24 Mar 1728 in Hackensack, New Jersey he married Mary Leggett (1730 - 1778), daughter of William Leggett and Sarah? Their daughter, Anne lawrence was born on November 1, 1762 at Staten Island, Richmond County,. New York. She married my 4rth great grandfather, Justus Earle, of the New Jersey Volunteers, in the American Revolution. This family fought for the British in the Revolution, and left America - for New Brunswick, as United Empire Loyalists, at the end of the war. 2) I am also interested in the estate claims of the Lawrence/Townley/Chase heirs, brought forward in the 1800's and 1900's. This is a fascinating subject for me. As such, I am researching and writing a book on the subject. I would be thrilled to communicate with anyone who may have had ancestors who participated in any of these various claims - or had been members of the several family organizations which did research a claim to the estate of Lady Mary Townley.
