Shelton Killed in Accident Funeral services for Leon Shelton, 26, who was killed in an accident near Jena Monday of last week, were held at the Georgetown Baptist Church November 13, with burial in the Rakestraw Cemetery. The deceased was the nephew of Mrs. J. S. Shelton of Winnfield and was the son of W. H. Shelton of Hardwood, La. Other survivors include two brothers, Henry Bruce Shelton of Pineville and Ralph Shelton of Hardwood; three half brothers, William, Jake, and Leo of Hardwood; one half sister, Ruby Faye Shelton of Hardwood. Shelton was killed in a dynamite blasting accident just north of Little Creek, according to a verdict rendered by Dr. F. A. Thomas, LaSalle Parish coroner.
