AS PROMISED, I have been photocopying the Winnfield Cemetery. Following are some of the first tombstones done. I have these set up in a table format and used the "copy and paste" feature to transfer them to a e-mail message. PLEASE refer to the first entry for explaination. NOTE: These have NOT been checked against the markers, YET. I have only copied these from photos and some are unreadable. Some of the stones are in bad shape and some are sinking into the soft ground. Before Peggy uploads the finished listing to the Winn Parish archives, each and every stone will be rechecked. Just thought I would send these through as I finish, a few disk at a time. Each disk is holding about 9 shots. If you want a copy of the photo, highlight the ONE (one and only one!!! at a time) and email to me (private mail only--not through the list). I will attach a copy of the photo to the reply. This takes time to photocopy, then handcopy, then type up. So "don't rush me" <grin> (I've got about 288 photocopied, but not typed.) Annette Winnfield Cemetery >Disk & number of photo (very important if it is your family) >Last Name (SURname) >First Name ( Given names, may also include Maiden) >Born (year, mon, day) >Died (year, mon, day) >Grave Needs Work (yes) (if you see a "yes" you need to have a local relative check on making needed repairs. Some of the stones are sinking in the soft ground and will be completely underground before too many more years.) >Military or other symbols (M=military, S= other such as Mason, Eastern Star, DAR, etc.) >Notes 001-1 Wide shot of Section 1- front taken from the end of the front part. 001-2 Wide shot of all of sec 1 - front.
