Vines, Sr., 82, of Dodson, died Tuesday in a Winnfield clinic after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Hurricane Creek Baptist church with J. A. Cockerham, assisted by Rev. Aaron Gorham, officiating. Burial was in Hurricane Creek Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Mr. Vines was a member of the Masonic Lodge and had been a member of the Baptist Church for many years. He is survived by four sons, S. N., L. E., Jr., and Earl, all of Dodson, and L. N. of Winnfield; five daughters, Mrs. Frances Williams of Kelly, Mrs. Tiny Gates, Dodson, Mrs. Christine Wheat, and Mrs. Sina Elliott, Monroe, and Mrs. Videll Roberson of Jonesboro; one sister, Mrs. J. C. Higgs, Dodson; one half- sister, Mrs. Lula Cockerham, Rayville; two half brothers, J. B. of Dodson and S. E. of Alexandria; 41 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were J. L.
