I've just loaded a new file to the CHURCH RECORDS category entitled "Deaths Recorded in Central Baptist (Winn) Assoc. Minutes, 1860-1956". The file was too large to send to the list but the following submitter's note will give you an idea of the content: [SUBMITTER'S NOTE: By way of explanation for all non-Baptists .... Baptist churches band together in certain geographical areas to form Associations. Once a year they would come together for the annual "Associational Meeting". Each church submitted a letter giving membership statistics, financial data, and other items of information, of which the names of the deceased of their membership for the past year were recorded. These associational minutes sometimes furnish the only surviving source for a death date. I found reference to the death of one of my ancestors and a very close approximate death date from this source that I could not find elsewhere. I have extracted all the deaths mentioned by name from the associational minutes for the years shown below. During the early years only ministers and/or deacons were listed.
