Emmons of Sikes, who died in Alexandria February 16, 1950, were held at the Sikes Baptist Church Saturday at 10 o'clock. The Rev. A. D. Murray, pastor, had charge of the services, and burial was in the Sikes Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were L. W. Gulledge, Harmie Forrest, H. C. Thompson, Archie Crawley, J. D. Thornton, and C. H. Crain. Born January 22, 1876, Mrs. Emmons was 74 years and 24 days of age at the time of her death. She had been a member of the Sharon Baptist Church since her youth.
