Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. From: April 9, 1953 Winn Parish Enterprise Mrs. H. J. McGinty Dies At Home Of Son In Shreveport Mrs. Hattie J. McGinty, 96, native of Colfax, died at the home of her son, E. P. McGinty, in Shreveport last Saturday. She would have been 97 in September. Mrs. McGinty had resided in Shreveport for the past seven months and had been in good health until two days before her death, when she complained of feeling ill, relatives said. She is the mother in law of Mrs. Blanche McGinty of Winnfield. Other survivors include four sons, E. P. McGinty of Shreveport, R. L. McGinty of Bossier City, E. W. McGinty of Montgomery, and G. B. McGinty of Quincy, Ill.; and several grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Mt. Zion Methodist Church near Montgomery. Rev. Cotton and Rev. Lula Wardlow officiated.
