Mixon Dies At Dodson; Funeral Friday Mrs. Ella Puckett Mixon, 71, native of the Gansville Community, died at the home of her only daughter, Mrs. Morris Gates in Dodson at 3 a.m. Thursday, December 13. Funeral services will be conducted at the Dodson Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Friday with the pastor, Rev. Edgar Cripps, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be K. C. Simmons, Charles Lee Bates, C. B. Payne, Cecil Collins, Neal Taylor (Neil), and J. W. Tarry (J. Y. Terry). Mrs. Mixon was the widow of the late John Mixon, and a member of a prominent Winn Parish family. She was affiliated with the Dodson Baptist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Morris Gates of Dodson; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Sledge, Ringgold, and Mrs. A. T.
