From: August 8, 1952 Winnfield News-American Brother of Local Residents Dies In Monroe Tuesday Dr. Burford Bailey Stricken With Heart Attack Here Recently Dr. Burford Lee Bailey, 80, of Star City, Ark., brother of B. W. Bailey and Mrs. Maude Long of Winnfield, and B. Bailey of St. Maurice, died in a Monroe hospital Tuesday after a brief illness. Funeral services were held in Star City at the First Baptist Church at 4 p.m. Wednesday, with interment following in Lick Cemetery. Dr. Bailey was stricken with a heart attack in Winnfield only recently and was confined to a local hospital for a brief period. He was a former company physician for the Commercial Solvent Plant at Sterling (Sterlington?). He had practiced medicine in Epps for the past 20 years. Dr. Bailey was a member of the Masons, Shriners, and a deacon in the First Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, J. B. Bailey of Epps, and O. K. and H. R. of Sterlington; two daughters, Mrs. E. K. McDuff of Monroe and Mrs. W. B. Crow of Star City, Ark.; two brothers, B. W. Bailey of Winnfield and B. Bailey of St. Maurice; one sister, Mrs. Maude Long of Winnfield, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. --------------C8C83925B316EB643D12DBDE--
