Skains, 66, prominent Winnfield building contractor, who died Saturday, March 5, at his home here after a long illness, were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Raymond Sjolander of Orange, Texas, officiating. Assisting with the services was the Rev. L. J. Stott, pastor of the East Winnfield Baptist Church. Burial was in the Gorham Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Pallbearers were M. J. Berry, W. E. Carpenter, Wayne Skains, Charles Skains, Bill Skains, and B. G. Skains. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Fannie Skains; three sons, O. B. Skains of Montgomery, R. D. Skains, Jr. of Delhi, and James Skains of Winnfield; a daughter, Miss Nettie Skains of Winnfield; two stepchildren, Sarah Frances Skains of Winnfield and Dale Skains on Okinawa; three brothers, W. V.
