From: February 28, 1952 Winn Parish Enterprise Colored Youth Dies Ernest Jean Flowers, 12, colored fifth grade student of the Winn Training School, died Saturday night after a short illness. Reports that the youth died of ptomaine poisoning from food he obtained from the school lunchroom were checked with Prof. Gaulden, principal at the school. Prof. Gaulden said that he had also heard the rumor, but that none of the other 500 persons who eat in the lunchroom had been poisoned, or ill from the food. Because the youth was ill such a short time, an autopsy was made by the physician, but he could not be reached for a statement. --------------35BB5D050D3A2B8561B87CC1--
