From: January 25, 1951 Winn Parish Enterprise Former Resident Of Winnfield Dies In Texas Friends in Winnfield have received the news of the death of Mrs. Sam Crawford, on January 1 at Conroe, Texas. Mrs. Crawford is the wife of Sam A. Crawford, prominent lawyer of Conroe, Texas, who will be remembered as a former resident of Winnfield, moving here in 1896. Mr. Crawford was principal of the Winnfield school when it was taught in the old Methodist Church.
