The name of the book is: LaSalle Parish History: Families, Past & Present, Compiled by LaSalle Parish Genealogical Association, 1989. P. 221 by Kathryn (Martin) Kinnison In it, it lists Susan Elizabeth Raley married to Isaac Mayes (as his 3rd wife) and had these children: Myra Cornelia, Byra and then it lists like it is another child (children).....Drew and Jerry Mayes came to Winn Parish in 1873. My confusion......Later it says Sarah E., wife of J. R. Mayes, b. feb 8, 1833, died Aug 13, 1900....I have Sarah as wife to Jerry Mayes (no information on him) and to John Jackson Hinton (who died in 1863) They had 5 children. I don't have a marriage date for her marrying Jerry, but she married John Hinton on July 03, 1850 in Downsville, Union Parish, LA. Anyone researching these lines that can straighten out the mix up? The article is alot longer and I will be happy to share the information in it if anyone is able to help me with this. Lisa --part0_922410131_boundary--
