Dawson Held On Monday Funeral services were held Monday for Henry Patrick Dawson, 72, Winn native and lifelong resident, who died Sunday in a Winnfield hospital. Mr. Dawson had been ill for a long time. Graveside services were held by Eastern Star Lodge No. 151 with Lloyd E. Waxley, acting Worshipful Master, presiding. Mr. Dawson was a member of the Masonic Lodge and of the Corinth Baptist Church. He was married to the former Roxie Long in 1906, and they had five children, three of whom survive. They are Ralph, Birdis, and Virgil, all of Winnfield, Route 2. He is also survived by one brother, Bob, of Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. Maudie Wheat, of Pollock; and 11 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ples Dawson, Harold Dawson, Edwin Long, Roy Waxley, and Clifford Bartley. Honorary pallbearers were Ed Melton, J. H. Lowery, Charlie Smith, Louis Sholars, and Henry Harlan.
