Hughes of Springhill died Wednesday, December 12 at 8 o'clock in Shreveport at the Schumpert Hospital. Mr. Hughes was a native of Winn Parish, having been born and reared in Dodson. Funeral services were held Friday, December 14, in the Cullen First Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Green officiating assisted by the Rev. Owens. Burial was in the Springhill Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mildred Johnson Hughes; three daughters, Mrs. Reba Sue Sellers of Jonesville, Mrs. Nancy Perrett and Mrs. Edria Woodard, both of Arcadia; his mother, Mrs. R. W.
