Mr. Hardy Beaubouef was hard at it today knocking out the wall in order to enlarge the corner and south rooms into one. Sheriff James E. "Buddy" Jordan, not a member, but an advertiser in our quarterly and my boss, gracioiusly agreed to allow some trustys to assist Mr. Beaubouef Saturday. Hats off to Sheriff Jordan, and if you are keeping a list, Mrs. Verrett, would you add him to it for a thank you letter? Possibly we jumped the gun on having our own restrooms. After much thought on a very important subject, we agreed today that it would be a huge risk to try and use the existing drains due to the fact that we don't know if they are still connected. The drains are not plugged off and there is no evidence they are workable. This would cause major problems should we use them and end up pouring sewerage all over the ground floor offices. We don't want to become unwelcome right off the bat nor do we want to become liable for damages. Besides, it is a short trot down the hall fifty feet. -- Greggory E.
