From: November 1, 1951 Winn Parish Enterprise Colored Veteran Of World War One Dies Here Larry Gardner, colored, 58 years, 2 months, and 17 days of age, died October 21 at Winnfield as a result of a heart attack. He was a World War One veteran. Funeral services were held October 25 at the Morning Star Baptist Church with Rev. H. Y. Bell and Rev. A. M. Brown officiating. Burial was at Natchitoches, La. Larry was born at Lake End, La., August 4, 1893 and was reared in Natchitoches, La. He was a member of the Baptist Church and the Disabled American Veterans, Alexandria Chapter No. 54-111. Surviving are his wife, Octavia Gardner, of Winnfield, and his parents, Steve and Ella Gardner. --------------CF24EF6E4C655B5569AA82D3--
