"Uncle Doc" Couch, 91, who died in a Monroe hospital April 13, were held at the Guin Cemetery Sunday, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rhymes, pastor of Cross Roads, and Rev. J. C. Rouseau, pastor of Atlanta, officiating. Acting as pallbearers were R. E. McAnally, David Strozier, Jerrit Collins, Lawrence Smith, and H. B. Worthington. A lifelong resident and farmer of the Curry Community, Winn Parish, Mr. Couch had retired and was making his home with his son in Transylvania, La., when he became ill. He had been a member of the Methodist Church since his early youth. His wife, the former Lizzie Stringer, preceded him in death by 13 years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Maud Curry, Tullos and Mrs. Mattie White, Winnfield; three sons, Luther and W. D. of Tullos, and J. N. of Transylvania. --------------436F68AF8F6D87A3590DD697--
