From: May 10, 1951 Winn Parish Enterprise Mrs. Sally Farris Buried At Mars Hill Monday Mrs. Sally Higdon Farris, 76, who died at the Baptist Hospital Sunday, May 6, was buried Monday, May 7, at the Mars Hill Cemetery at Verda, La. Mrs. Ferris had been in ill health for some time. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Higdon, Mrs. Ferris was born in Lincoln Parish near Simmsboro, La., on July 29, 1874. She was a member of the Baptist Church at Verda, La. Funeral services were held at the Verda Baptist Church with Rev. Thrasher and Sister Wardlow of Montgomery, officiating. Interment was in the Mars Hill Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Roy Anders of Shreveport, Mrs. W. L. Walters, Mrs. Leland Wright, and Mrs. A. G. Blakeslee, all of Montgomery, La., and Mrs. L. C. Bruce of Natchitoches; two sons, June and Charlie Ferris of Verda; two grandchildren, one great grandchild, and one brother, R. L. "Bob" Higdon of Sikes. --------------A202C3B9360940068DF56B0B--
