Walker, 86, Father of Winn Residents, Dies Nathan Franklin Walker, 86, a lifelong resident of Jackson Parish, and the father of G. H. Walker, principal of the Calvin High School, and of Mrs. C. H. Crain of Winnfield, died at 4:50 p.m. Sunday in a Jonesboro hospital. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Walker Baptist Church and of the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at the First Methodist Church in Jonesboro with the Rev. G. W. Damercon officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Waymon Mott, pastor of Laurel Heights Baptist Church and by Rev. Garrett of Quitman. Burial was in the Transport Cemetery near Dodson. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, George Tullos Walker, Pyburn Walker, Weldon Reed Walker, Herbert Walker, Hayward Walker, and Haran Walker. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. C. L. Copeland and Mrs. G. E. Stewart of Shreveport, Miss Callie Walker of Jonesboro, Mrs. C. H. Crain of Winnfield, and Mrs. Edgar McConathy of Quitman; two sons, G. H. Walker of Calvin and Luther E. Walker of Jonesboro; a brother, W. T. Walker of Jonesboro; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. --------------28A314A9E3B0220C9C503902--
