From: July 6, 1950 Winn Parish Enterprise Death Claims Mrs. Martha Jordan, 97, Of Hudson, July 2 Mrs. Martha Jones Jordan, 97 years, 8 months, and 15 days of age, of Hudson, died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Elzie Adams, Route 4, Winnfield, July 2, 1950. Funeral services were held at the Welcome Home Baptist Church Tuesday morning at 10:30, with Rev. W. C. Bounds, Rev. Maturne, pastor, Rev. Neal and Lester Rhymes, officiating. Burial was in the Welcome Home Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Pallbearers were H. L. Lee, J. B. Shelton, Horrie Boyett, Homer Gates, Mervin Jordan, Jr., and John Wesley Jordan. Born in Jasper County, Miss., Oct. 17, 1852, Mrs. Jordan had made her home in Winn Parish since the age of eight years. She was a charter member of the Welcome Home Baptist Church and was a sister of the late Judge Wiley Jones who served this district for many years. Her husband died in 1913. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Annie White of Route 4, Winnfield; two sons, O. A. and M. A. Jordan of Route 4, Winnfield; ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Della Hatten, Oak Grove, La. --------------71C6B45026EF4E338DC404B3--
