Anyway, the 10 "chapters of the book are on these 10 families: Smith (Sikes area), White (Dr Drury D), Thornton, Underwood, Hatten, Parker, Kirkland, Tullos, Lee, Nettles. In each case, I went back to the earliest DOCUMENTED ancestor that I have found and carried the descendants down through the generations. This is not an all-inclusive list of surnames in the book, but a list of those that come to mind when speaking of Winn Parish families: Abrams, Adams, Allen, Beavers, Boyett, Branch, Brand, Burnett, Campbell, Crain, Dampier, Davis, Eagles, Emmons, Erskin(s), Fletcher, Gaar, Gates, Gentry, Gorham, Gregory, Gresham, Grisham, Hart, Holmes, Humble, James, Jones, Jordan, Kelly, Kidd, King, Long, Lucas, McCarty, Netherland, Pendarvis, Pepper, Perkins, Peters, Prince, Riser, Rolen, Sikes, Simmons, Tatum, Terral, Thompson, Tippen/Tippin, Townsend, Walker, Willis, Wingate, Wright, Young.
