His daughter Olif (Olive) Clementine Sowers B Oct 21, 1847 in Pike County, MS D Oct. 3, 1895 in Alto, Cherokee County, TX Burial at Palestine Cemetery, Alto, TX. She married William Wade McCarty B Oct 24, 1847 in LA, D July 31, 1923 in Cherokee County, TX Burial at Palestine Cemetery, Alto, TX. They married on Feb 4, 1872 in Winn Parish, LA. They had nine children. Olife was a sister to my G grandfather Newton C. Sowers. We have not been able to go back on further that George Michael Sowers. Is this the family you are looking for?
