    1. [LAWINN-L] John Richard Crain
    2. In last Sunday's Dallas Morning News was an artical about a man named John Richard Crain who had been killed in the line of Duty around May 24 1923. Some how the local Police Historian had discoved his name had not been put on their Memorial wall. So he started to dig and found proof and they will be doing that on May 15th. They are looking for decendants that might like to join them. They found a listing of his family as well from a newpaper artical 79 years ago. It listed his wife as Lucy, children as two sons Noel and Taylor daughters Lillie, Lorene and Mrs. J. W. Humphries. Burried out side of Cumby, in Hopkins County East of Dallas. "The Crain family plot includes a pair of white marble obelisks for the officer's mother and father, as well as one with a carved lamb on it for his 5-year old son." It is a pretty big artical. I have saved it for anyone who wants it. I hope this helps. Donnel Shaw
