She was born August 18, 1893 and died in Winn parish on November 5, 1918 of Pelegra. Her father was John W. Dawson and her mother was Apha Georganne? Long. Apha I believe was a distant cousin of Huey Long. Lena was the first wife of my Great Grandfather John William Wilder. Lena was listed in the household of her Uncle Mikel (Michael?) Long in 1910 and in the next household was John Wilder with his parents and siblings. John and Lena were married in Winn parish on June 11, 1910. Lena is buried in old Corinth Cemetery, near her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jeff and Nettie Wilder. I think her parents are buried there as well. If anyone may have a picture of this woman, or have heard some stories, about her I would love to hear about it. Even though this woman is not related by blood, I am still curious about her. Family legend says that my Great Grandfather refused to talk about her, as it was a painful subject. Facts are just now coming to light. Thanks for any help you can give.
