John recieved a land grant of 82 acres on October 15, 1896. I'm going off of memory now but I believe the land is about 1.5 miles west of Bentley and about 3/4 mile south of the Colfax Highway (Highway 8). John and Nancy are both buried at Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove Community, Grant Parish, LA. I Dont have any Information on the Children of John and Nancy. John was born 1854 and died 1919 and Nancy was born 1860 and died 1902. John James is the son of Emory and Jane Wilson Preuett

Hello everyone, I am searching for any information concerning my great grandfather John W. Miller born August 15, 1860. He married Frances Ellen Harris born October 25, 1870. Their children were: Bronice (Ethel) Miller nicknamed Midge. Born April 2, 1917 in Sikes, La. Married Alfred Rush Allen Lenora Miller May Miller Danny Mack (Dooley) Annie Kate Miller Arthur Miller Tom Miller Barney Miller Johnny Miller John Miller lived in Sikes for at least 40 years. I believe that he may have been born in St. Louis, Illinois and later moved to Arkansas where he had all his children except for my grandmother Bronice Ethel Miller who was born in Sikes, La. in 1917. \ I would really like to know who his parents were and if he had any siblings. Roy I have a Martin Haddox married Jane Maloy 7/14/1912 Winn Parish, La. also Mary Elizabeth Haddox married Alonzo Maloy about 1894 had 3 boys Andrew, Albert and Martin.
