The Saturday Advocate -- November 09, 2002 KERNS,    GLORIA LAMBERT   A real estate administrative assistant at Remax First and a native and resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at her residence. She was 54. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, with recitation of the rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visiting in the funeral home chapel from 10 a.m. until religious service at noon Monday, conducted by the Rev. Michael Collins. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle "Shelly" Bourgeois Tims and Mark Tims, Dutchtown; grandchildren, Stephen and Kayla Tims of Dutchtown and Sarah Bourgeois and Deneiege Guillory, both of Turkey Creek; former husband, Michael J. Bourgeois, Bueche; a godchild and niece, Lorie Lambert Verbois, Baton Rouge; a niece, Debra L. Broadhurst, Baker; a nephew, Leo J. Lambert III, Lake Charles; a great-niece, Natalie Verbois; a great-nephew, Brad Broadhurst; a daughter-in-law, Tonia Guillory Bourgeois, Turkey Creek; a sister-in-law, Maxine F.L. Kinchen and husband Roger R. Kinchen, Baker; and numerous friends. Preceded in death by her son, Phillip J. Bourgeois; parents, Leo J. Lambert Sr. and Georgie Etta Zeigler Lambert; and a brother, Leo J. Lambert Jr. She was a member of the National and Louisiana Genealogy Societies, Baker City Police Posse Auxiliary and former owner of Folk Finders Inc. She authored several books of genealogy, was a 1966 graduate of Istrouma High School and was an avid sailor. She never met a stranger.
