LANDINMC@aol.com Emali the above for information.. Do not hit Reply = Forwarded message. This is a last-minute reminder that MGS would love to have all of you attend the day-long seminar next Saturday January 25 at the Northgate Conference Center in Jackson (old Primos, on North State Street), from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Registration opens at 8 a.m. Cost is $email for price, which includes handouts and a complete hot lunch. There will be a book sellers/vendors room with lots of goodies to browse through as well. Margaret Hofmann is flying in from North Carolina to conduct the seminar, and her topics will be first-owner (land grant, etc.) colonial and early statehood records of NC, land records of NC, bonds, census, court, marriage, tax, statistics, and miscellaneous records available from that state and surrounding states from early 1700s through mid-20th century. E-mail me if you plan to come, but if you decide at the last minute, we are allowing for about 15 walk-ins for lunch head count, and can always find ways to accommodate more. We have about 150 attend from several states around each year.
