Just a quick note to let you know that if any one of you are needing Millitary or pension files from the National Archives, I might be able to help. I go into Washington DC once a week on business and I am quite familliar with the National Archives. I would be happy to get whatever anyone who is on this list needs. For pension files, complete with all pages(usually up to 20-30, exessive size files may cost more), nice copies (I make sure of this) $34.00. For millitary files, $26.20. If you are not sure if your ancestor has a file I will even search it for you, check the file to see if the file exists, then you can place your order. I am usually pretty fast as I have been researching for the past 10 years and usually have a file for your within 10-12 days. Otherwise, the National Archives can take 2 months or longer for a response of which they often always short you on the number of pages they give you(I make sure you get the entire file). Let me know if you want me to research anything for you. You may give me the names of the ancestors who you believe fought in the union or confederate army or even the Rev. war and I will see if they have files. In most cases a few or most of them probably will! I live in florida, but I have a business in Washington, DC that I am partners with my brother in that I make trips to check on things. Many times I have him go to the archives when I can't go up there. Let me know. Thanks. Jason Arnott ==== IDBOISE Mailing List ==== This IDBOISE list is currently available for adoption!
