    1. [LAWESTBA] Kevil Family Cook Book:
    2. Subject: The Kevil Family Cookbook The publishing company in Iowa has notified me that the final revisions are being made to The Kevil Family Cookbook, and it is scheduled for shipment during the first week in November - just in time for Christmas. The cookbook is titled: "Home Cooking With The Kevils - The Kevil Family Cookbook." The purpose of the cookbook is to help raise funds for the maintenance and upkeep of the old Kevil family cemetery outside of Princeton, Kentucky. All profits from the sale of this cookbook will go to the maintenance and repair work on the family cemetery for the next several years. By purchasing this cookbook, you will help maintain the dignity of the cemetery where our pioneer family members are buried and also preserve history. The cost of the cookbook is only $9.50 plus $1.50 for mailing costs for a total of $11.00 per cookbook. The cookbook contains 200 recipes submitted by forty-six Kevil family members in thirteen states and England, including several recipes from old cookbooks of eight deceased family members. In addition to the wonderful recipes, the cookbook will contain a dedication page, a brief family history, and several old photos of Kevil family members from the 1850s. The cookbook will also have a large section on cooking tips and household hints. I’m confident there will be something for everyone - collected and bound together in one volume. The cemetery was established on the Kevil farm in the early 1800s, and several of the pioneer Kevil family members are buried there. During the past 25-years, the cemetery had fallen into a state of disrepair, and was overgrown with weeds, brush and trees. Donations were taken-up at the last family reunion in 2001 to remove all the weeds and overgrowth and restore the dignity of the family cemetery. Twenty-eight headstones were discovered after the cemetery was cleaned up, of which four were unreadable. We now face the task of maintaining the old family cemetery, and not let it become run-down or in a state of disrepair again. I know this cookbook project, with your help, will be very successful, and it will raise the funds needed for maintenance and upkeep of the old Kevil family cemetery. I hope you will order one cookbook for yourself and several additional books as gifts for friends, family members, daughters in-law, and associates where you work. They will make a great Christmas gift. Please fill out the attached order form and return it with a check or money order. Make checks payable to: T. H. Kevil. Thank you for your help with this fund raising project, and I know you will enjoy and use this attractive looking cookbook for years to come. Your efforts and contributions are very much appreciated. Please feel free to contact me at (865) 690-6351 or Tkevil@knology.net should you have any questions. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GEB.2ACE/130.2 Message Board Post: Shelly My gggrandfather was Jules Templet from WBR Parish. He married three times. First to Amelia Dupuy on 11 Jan 1877. She died in 1878. His second marriage was to my gggrandmother Marceline Cecile Bourgoyne of Plaquemine,Iberville Parish, on 15 May 1879. They had two children, Joseph Alexandre, my ggrandfather, and Rose Mary. She died sometime before 1888. Jules then married your ggrandmother, Louise Robeau on 28 April 1888. I have several children by this marriage. I do not know when Jules died but am pretty sure that he and my gggrandmother are buried at St John the Baptist Catholic Church of Brusly. Your gggrandmother, Louise is buried there along with Mary Louise Templet Sennett. And yes she is probably buried on top of Louise because that is a tradition in La when burial space is limited. As far as where Jules grave is he is probably buried close by but never marked. I have other information about the Templets that go all the way back to Andre Templet that came over in the 1! 700's. Would love to share. Alice

These are births of children. If you want me to find them all I'll send them to you by e-mail. My e-mail is ellerdabet@cs.com so drop me a line and I'll do some searching. I'm pretty sure I won't find much on your Grandmother Mary because the DBR only goes up to 1894

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GEB.2ACE/130.1.1 Message Board Post: I don't have too much to go on. I have ordered my great-grandma Mary's death certificate, but I haven't received it yet. Her info is: Mary Louise TEMPLET Born 16 Mar 1902 in Louisiana Married between 1919-1921 in Louisiana Died 10 Sep 1964 In 1964, she was in Louisiana visiting relatives with my great-grandpa Joseph SENNETT (changed from what I think was CIANCHETTA) and was killed in a car accident near Brusly. She was buried on top of her mother, who I think is named Louise. My grandma was born in New Orleans in 1924, but I can't trace them before that. My grandma swore she didn't know her grandparents names, but after she died, I found them as Jules and Louise TEMPLET, written in her family bible in her handwriting. This Jules would have been alive ca. 1920 because family lore is that my great-grandpa asked his permission to date my great-grandma. Since I don't know the birth order, I can only say that Jules and Louise were probably born abt. 1880, maybe before that. Sorry I don't have any more info than this. I guess I am hoping someone recognized Mary's name as a sister or daughter who is unaccounted for. Supposedly, she had 12 siblings. Shelly

Surnames: Templet, Sennett, Cianchetta, Cianchette Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GEB.2ACE/130 Message Board Post: I am looking for any info on Jules TEMPLET, wife's name Louise, who were, I think, from the Brusly area. My great-grandmother was Mary Louise Templet, born 1902, but she moved with my great-grandfather, Joseph SENNETT (aka CIANCHETTA/E), to the St. Louis, Mo. area before 1930. Mary died in Louisiana in 1964 and by family lore is buried on top of her mother, although I haven't figured out where yet. At that time, she was there visiting relatives, who I assume still live there. I have very little information on the TEMPLETs and would be extremely grateful for any help anyone might be able to give me.
